What are Ayurvedic Treatments?
Ayurvedic treatments are designed by the practitioner according to the patient’s needs. The main goal is to cleanse undigested food from the body which can be the root cause of other problems, and thus the cleansing nature of the treatment.
There are 2 types:
1. Langhana (Depleting): is further divided into two, namely Sodhana (Purification) and Samana (Pacifying).
2. Brimhna (Nourishing)
Ayurvedic treatment is done for various diseases and problems, such as respiratory problems, blood pressure, cholesterol, paralysis, etc.
What is Ayurvedic Massage?
Wondering how ayurvedic massage is different from a regular massage? Well, if you haven't gone for an ayurvedic massage, this is what you can expect. Unlike other massages, the ayurvedic massage not only treats the muscles of the body but also the nervous system. It brings intense nourishment to the cells, tissues and energy channels of the body, and also a sense of calmness to the mind.
Different oils are used in accordance with your body type. Since each individual is special and unique, the oils are prepared from herbs that are required by different individuals. Such is done in order to improve and maximize the healing process. The oil is heated until a comfortable temperature is reached. It is then again infused with Ayurvedic herbs. Using these oils is important to maintain a certain harmony and balance within the body.
The treatment or massage always starts with a consultation that lasts around 15 to 20 minutes. This involves a totally confidential health and lifestyle conversation with experts prior to the massage. This consultation is followed by an Ayurveda massage treatment catering to your requirements. The massage can last for a minimum of 30 minutes and go up to 90 minutes.
Ayurvedic massage is critical for the body and mind and hence must be done in the right way. For optimum results, be sure to get the ayurvedic massage done at a certified center.
